I and/or my parents are nervous about me playing. How safe is paintball?List Item 1
Paintball is one of the safest sporting activities that you can participate in. The rate of injury to paintball participants has been estimated as 45 injuries per 100,000 participants per year. Research published by the Minnesota Paintball Association has argued that paintball is one of the statistically safest sports to participate in, with 20 injuries per 100,000 players annually, and these injuries tend to be incidental to outdoor physical activity (e.g. trips and falls).
Furthermore, a one-year study undertaken by the Eye Emergency Department, Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary in Boston has shown that most sports eye injuries are caused by basketball, baseball, hockey, and racquetball. Another analysis concluded that eye injuries incurred from paintball were in settings where protective equipment such as masks were not enforced, or were removed by the player. Eye injuries can occur when protective equipment is not properly used and such injuries often cause devastating visual loss. For safety, most regulated paintball fields strictly enforce a 'masks-on policy, and must eject players who consistently disobey.

Will it hurt if I get shot?
It really depends on where you get hit. Generally a paintball hit on exposed skin will sting and can leave a small mark or bruise that will fade in a few days. The rental jackets that we offer have hoods to protect your neck and head and are quite large to help reduce paintball impacts. Tight fitting gloves will help to protect your hands. Low impact paintball uses a smaller ball and a lower velocity and therefore has less of an impact.
-
Can I bring my own paintballs with me?
No. All paintballs, including those used to chronograph your gun must be purchased from onsite. Off field paint is not permitted and anyone using off field paint will be asked to leave.
-
Do I need to come with a group?
It depends on the adventure. We offer walk-ons for traditional and low impact paintball and axe throwing. Airsoft walk-ons are on Sundays. Because of the size and popularity of our facilities we generally have a large number of walk-on players who play together. If there are enough players we will usually split the group up by experience and run the less experienced players as their own group. If you have a group of 10 or more players you can call ahead (72 hour notice please) and reserve a spot as a private group.
-
Do you accept credit cards?
Yes. We accept cash and all major credit cards as well as Interac (debit). We also take cash.
-
How much is a day going to cost me on average?
It all depends on how much you shoot and whether you are a gun owner or require rental equipment. New players will generally shoot much less than a more experienced player. Most renters will will shoot about 150 paintballs per hour or between 300-500 paintballs per day. Rates and paint prices can be found on the Prices page.

How old do I have to be to play paintball?List Item 2
Men and women 10 years and older can play traditional paintball. Low impact paintball is available for ages 8 and up. Players under the age of 18 must have signed parental consent. We recommend your waiver to be filled out online ahead of time to make our check in smooth or can be done on our iPad onsite. You can find our waiver here.

Should I bring lunch with me?
Offsite food and drink can be brought in only if you have rented the party tent. We have a snack bar that sells various snack foods and beverages, as well as hamburgers and cheeseburgers and other grill items at lunch time.
-
What should I bring with me when I come to play?
It's a good idea to bring appropriate clothing, pants are recommended, good footwear, tight fitting gloves (such as gardening gloves), sunblock, and bug spray. If you're a gun owner a set of tools for your marker is also a good idea.
-
What should I wear and do paintballs stain clothing?
While paintballs are non-toxic and fully water soluble they can stain some types of fabric, especially if it is not washed out in a timely manner. You'll also be running around in the woods and possibly crawling around on the ground. It's a good idea to wear comfortable older clothing that can get dirty and a little beat up. You should also wear a pair of shoes or boots that offer good support and grip when running. Gloves are a good idea to protect your hands.
